T.O. HEADED BACK TO THE BAY AREA?
Accoriding to RotoWire, Philadelphia Eagles wide receiver Terrell Owens may be traded to the Oakland Raiders for wide receiver Jerry Porter.
Of course, that would mean that Owens and Randy Moss would be on the same team.
However, I'm going to look at this possible deal in relation to the NFC. The Eagles were in the NFC Championship Game three years in a row before Owens came to Philadelphia. If the Eagles traded Owens, I don't think it's a cause for too much celebration. Porter is definitely a capable wide receiver. Is he in Owens' class? No. But he's no Freddie Mitchell either. The Eagles are Donovan McNabb's team. I'm sure the Eagles will get by without Owens, if he is dealt.
The class of the NFC is Philadelphia, with or without T.O. If the Seahawks want to get to the Super Bowl, they have to go through Philadelphia. That goes for the rest of the NFC as well.
By the way, the Raiders are in Philadelphia September 25.
