A.C. SLATER, ESPN!

Well, A.C. Slater's gig as KKTY's sports reporter has paid off.

Mario Lopez, who played the immortal Slater on "Saved By The Bell", will be a co-anchor for "ESPN Hollywood", a new entertainment show that will premiere on ESPN2 August 15 at 3 p.m. Pacific. Joining Lopez on "ESPN Hollywood" will be the lovely Thea Andrews, late of "Cold Pizza". I've suggested that ESPN should give Thea her own exercise show, but I guess "ESPN Hollywood" will do. She's got legs! She knows how to use them!

By the way, don't question Lopez' athletic skills. He was a three-sport star at Bayside! Football, basketball, and wrestling! Slater was so good that he played basketball AND wrestled during the same period of time. Amazing. You just don't see those types of athletes today in high school sports.

Yes, I'm full of it. Sue me. This news just made my day, sadly.
