UGH...
The Cubs fans don't deserve this. They don't. They've suffered for way too long. And man, if you think that fan that put hands out toward the ball in Game 6 was getting railed today, just wait till tomorrow. People are going to blame that guy in the stands for losing the series. Of course, there's a ton of other factors, but sheesh...
This once again means...the Mariners management should have done everything possible to make the playoffs AT ALL COSTS. Why? Look what just happened. THE FRIGGIN MARLINS!! They were down 3-1 in the damn series and now they're playing for (cringe) ANOTHER World Series title? *Vomiting* This damn team beat the Giants in the first round, and they'd won 100 games going in. They overcome a 3-1 deficit and beat the Cubs including the final two games at Wrigley. Point is, just get into the playoffs...it's a total clean slate from there.
Here's a sickening thought: there's a chance that we could be looking at a seven-season span (1997-2003) where we may have one WS title for Arizona and TWO WS titles for Florida. This is SO DAMN WRONG.
