MARINERS! ANGELS! 4/22/07
Seattle MARINERS (5-8, 1-3 road) at Los Angeles ANGELS of Anaheim (8-9, 7-2 home), 12:35p, FSNNW/MLB.tv
Jeff Weaver (0-2) vs. Ervin Santana (1-2)
Jeff Weaver's on the mound, and that means it's a Sunday meant for spring cleaning as the brooms will be out in Anaheim for what should be a three-game sweep of the Mariners. Yes, it'll be a nonstop half-dozen games of Mariner futility. Okay, maybe there's a small chance the Mariners might win this game, but the only way I think that happens is if Santana gets rattled or pitches young. Of course, the likelihood of Weaver giving up six runs is pretty high, so I don't see a lot happening here.
The Mariners better hope they take a game or two in Texas, or else they'll come back home trying to snap a 10-game losing streak. At least then they'll get to face the Royals. No losses to Gil Meche will be tolerated.
