JUST ANOTHER DAY...
BEING A SEATTLE SPORTS FAN!!!!
Yeah, the refs have screwed SEATTLE once again!!!!!
4th quarter, Hawks down 27-22. Matt Hasselbeck throws it downfield for Bobby Engram. Engram gets TRIPPED by the back judge, and he doesn't have a chance to catch that ball in the end zone. Furthermore, Hasselbeck gets decked by Grant Wistrom. NOTHING IS CALLED, HOWEVER.
Shouldn't the play be whistled DEAD when a referee interferes with a player's ability to make a play? Yeah, if it was any other team than Seattle.
1998: Phil Luckett calls Vinny Testaverde's white Jets helmet the football, and rules it a touchdown.
2003: Tom White gives the Ravens an extra timeout as well as give a horrible spot on that 4th down play in Baltimore
Today: Back judge trips Bobby Engram, interfering with his ability to make the catch.
Seahawks are now 8-6, with 2 games left. Next week at home vs Arizona and a Saturday road game at San Francisco.
Obviously, the Seahawks defense ain't you know what. But at the same time, the Seahawks should be 10-4 right now. But no. Thanks to the refs, they are 8-6. Unreal.
And just to add more insult to injury, Miguel Tejada will probably sign with Baltimore.
I wish I could say that I'm on Quinton McCRACKen right now, but sadly, this is reality. Watch the Mariners trade Randy Winn to the Dodgers for Alex Cora, just to get the Cora "voodoo" back in Seattle....
