MARVIN WILLIAMS WATCH, GAME 8

Tyronnn Lue sat from the starting lineup to make way for Marvin Williams going into the game at Dallas last night. The Atlanta Hawks nonetheless lost once again, this time by a score of 87-78, keeping them winless in eight tries overall this season. In 19 minutes, the Knight alum scored four points on 2-for-6 shooting from the field. He also grabbed five rebounds (two offensive) and dished out an assist. He was whistled for one foul and turned the ball over three times. The Hawks shot 38.2% as a whole. Dallas wasn't much better, shooting 39.5%. In addition, though, Atlanta shot 67.9% from the line. Yikes.

I have to admit, the shot chart really doesn't jive with the boxscore unless Marvin missed four layups or something, which I doubt.

The Hawks travel to Oklahoma City to face the Hornets tonight.
