ANOTHER FORMER BUC COMING TO SEATTLE
Who's the next former Tampa Bay Buccaneer coming to Seattle?
It's safety John Howell, who has signed a one-year deal with the Seahawks.
Howell was a 4th round pick in 2001 by Tampa Bay. Seahawks president Tim Ruskell was the Bucs' director of player personnel at the time. Howell started 6 games for the Buccaneers in 2004. He has good range and good coverage skills, which should be beneficial to a defense that needs as much help as it can get.
This isn't a flashy signing by any means, but it was a deal that was going to get done sooner or later. No new news on free agent linebacker Peter Boulware, who left Seattle without an offer. It remains to be seen what the Seahawks will do regarding Boulware, Michael's older brother.
