DISPATCHED, TUESDAY EDITION
Here's what the St. Louis Post-Dispatch sportswriters and national writers are saying about the Rams-Seahawks game this Saturday.

ST. LOUIS POST-DISPATCH
Jim Thomas: Rams hope for a wild postseason run
For Mike Martz, the postseason began Monday with an upbeat phone message from St. Louis coaching compadre Tony La Russa of the baseball Cardinals.
"He said three of the (last) four champions in baseball have been wild-card teams," Martz said. "So, who knows? Anything can happen."
Anything can happen? How about the Seahawks beating St. Louis on Saturday, avenging their two losses to the Rams earlier this season?
Jeff Gordon: Here's the Rams' to-do list for beating Seattle
* Adapt to the environment
* Shore up the offensive line play
* Bend less against the run
* Cover the kicks
Here's MY to-do list for beating Seattle:
---Kidnap Michael Boulware so the Seahawks are forced to start Terreal Bierria
---See #1
---See #1
I've said it repeatedly now and I'll keep saying it. Michael Boulware will be the difference in this game for the Seahawks. I really believe that if he would have started both of the games earlier this season against the Rams, the Seahawks would have won. He doesn't get burned like Bierria does.
Basically, I just don't want to see Torry Holt live up to his "Big Game" nickname. And in a related note, Torry "Big Game" Holt has to be one of the lamest nicknames in the history of sports. Yes, I'm biased. So what?
Bryan Burwell: Seattle's griping is good news for the Rams
Besides, the Rams won both meetings this season, are on a three-game winning streak against Seattle, and have won five out of the last seven meetings. And they couldn't be catching them at a better time, because the Seahawks look like an emotional mess.
You thought the Rams had issues? The Seahawks have one star (Koren Robinson) coming off a one-game suspension for violating team rules for the second time this season.
But Robinson is small stuff compared to Shaun Alexander. The star tailback pulled off the ultimate selfish act on Sunday, when he decided to publicly rip head coach Mike Holmgren for not getting him one more carry against Atlanta, thus causing him to miss the NFL rushing title by 1 yard.
It's no secret to anybody who reads Sports and Bremertonians that David and I are sick and tired of Koren Robinson.
But at least he didn't kill somebody while driving drunk. Leonard Little has no business playing football right now and should be locked up in prison. Hopefully in late March when his court date takes place, he will be found guilty. Little is one of the main reasons why I hate the Rams. I don't hate many teams, but the Rams are one of those few teams I just hate with a passion. The Rams should be ashamed of themselves for giving millions of dollars to a murderer.
Oh, and that one missed yard will motivate Shaun Alexander on Saturday. The Rams defense can't stop Alexander. I expect a big game on Saturday from the Alabama man.

Their postseason will all come down to how their defense plays. It has to play better or they could be one and done.
Sounds about right.

Jeffri Chadiha: Ten players who have to step up in the postseason
Mike Holmgren, head coach, Seahawks
His team stumbled into the postseason. He's reportedly involved in a feud with Seahawks president Bob Whitsitt. His Pro Bowl running back Shaun Alexander claimed he was "stabbed in the back" because he didn't win the rushing crown on the same day Seattle won the NFC West title. But for all the problems Holmgren has dealt with this year, his team still has a chance to make a run in a wide-open NFC playoff race. I don't think they'll do anything with that opportunity, but it is there.
I never heard of Jeffri Chadiha before today, so I could care less if he thinks that the Seahawks won't do anything in the postseason.
Screw the haters!

That's what the folks outside the Northwest are saying about the Rams-Seahawks.
This game will be the best game of the wild-card weekend.
