IF THE SEAHAWKS MAKE THE PLAYOFFS...

Michael Boulware deserves the biggest playoff bonus.

Sept. 19 at Tampa Bay, he ended the final Bucs drive by picking off Chris Simms. The Seahawks had two roughing the passer penalties and a pass interference call against them on that final drive before Boulware sealed the victory.

Nov. 21 vs Miami, he picked off A.J. Feeley, taking it to the house 63 yards, giving the Seahawks a 24-17 win. The Dolphins were driving, trying to get into field goal position for Olindo Mare. But Boulware would have none of that.

Today in Minnesota?

In his first career NFL start, Boulware records 7 tackles, a sack, and one very clutch interception in the end zone as the Vikings were trying to go ahead late in the 4th quarter.

Which begs the question, why wasn't Boulware starting from Day One? It's obvious that the former Florida State star has talent. I would have much rather seen a talented player such as Boulware take his lumps than to see Terreal Bierria look awful on a weekly basis.

The Seahawks win a big game on the road. In Minnesota. Against the high-powered Vikings offense. This coming just 6 days after crapping the bed on "Monday Night Football" against the Dallas Cowboys, who lost to the Saints today.

The Panthers are currently ahead of the Rams, 7-0, in the 1st quarter. If the Rams lose, the Seahawks would again take the lead in the NFC West at 7-6. Right now, I'll just savor the fact that the Seahawks won this game.

Next week, the Seahawks head to the Meadowlands to face the New York Jets. The Meadowlands has been the Seahawks kryptonite, so to speak, for years. But I'll say this, with Boulware finally getting a chance to start, the Seahawks may just win next week.

The way things have gone this season, I would not be shocked to see the Seahawks go 10-6. But then again, I wouldn't be shocked to see them go 8-8. Hell if I know at this point.

The NFC, it's fantastic!
